Trip length and route shape: weekends, months and everything between
A weekend and a month abroad need different plans even in the same country. These guides match validity and plan type to the trip you are actually taking.
Two numbers shape every eSIM choice: how many days, and how many countries. Days decide the validity you need, counted from the moment the plan starts until you leave. Countries, and how your nights are spread across them, decide whether a country plan or a regional plan fits.
The guides here cover both. They explain how validity clocks work (and why a 30-day plan can end before a 30-day trip does), how to read the shape of a route, and how to plan a long trip leg by leg instead of buying everything at once.
Quick answers
When does validity start?
It depends on the seller. TripoSIM says its plans start when the eSIM first connects at the destination.
Should I buy one plan for a three-month trip?
Usually not. Buy plans leg by leg, a few days before each leg starts.
Regional or country plan?
Decide by where you sleep: one country with most nights suggests a country plan; nights spread across three or more countries suggest a regional plan.
